Communications Mission Team

The
Communications Mission Team has primary responsibility for working
with the Conference Minister of Communication to oversee
and enhance all aspects of Conference communications both
printed and electronic. This is a large task, considering that "communication"
is central to all we do.
Communication
is the basic act of sharing our life and work, who we are and what
we believe. Thus, it is at the heart of everything we do as the
church. It is essential to developing Christian ministry, education,
evangelism, stewardship, and our denominational identity. It is
the goal of the Communications Mission Team to be a valuable resource
to every person, pastor, church and organization within the Conference,
for the building up of Christ's church and the great 'community
of ministries' that we share here in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Throughout
the year, the Communications Mission Team meets approximately every
other month on Saturday mornings at the Church House. In addition
to special projects (such as developing the new Conference logo,
above) the Team oversees and maintains:
- Weekly bulletin
insert, Communitas
- Church House computer network
- Conference
website, www.psec.org
- Demonstration
booths at Conference meetings
- Special
training events and opportunities
Also, the Team
and Minister of Communication are currently involved in a number
of special projects, including the development of the "e-Vangelism
Initiative" a program to enable every congregation to have
a website within the next two years.
If you have
an interest and relevant background or experience in these areas,
the Communications Mission Team is always in need of good members.
