Focus Fund 2008 NEW FUND FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINITRY  Pennsylvania Southeast Conference has announced Focus Fund 2008 as a way to strengthen and expand ministries to children and youth within our Conference. Individuals as well as congregations are invited to make gifts to Focus Fund 2008 to help accomplish what many local congregations cannot do on their own. These opportunities include: (1) Empowering and training youth leaders and mentors to create and to sustain ministries in local churches; (2) Connecting youth and children with the Conference and wider settings  of the church, so they can experience their identity as part of the United Church of Christ; (3) Making seed money available to develop service–learning projects for Junior High and Senior High youth; (4) Building a network of Christian artists to share resources and skills in local churches; Creating retreats for youth to explore theology and to help them grow in their faith; (5) Growing summer outdoor ministries for children and youth to enable all to participate — only 2/3 of the cost of summer camp is covered by fees and your gift can help make up the difference; (6) Sponsoring leadership training for youth who are gifted for ministry to help them live out their UCC identity beyond high school; and  (7) Providing scholarship assistance for children and youth who need financial assistance to participate in these life-changing experiences.
