PRAYER RETREAT AT MENSCH MILL AUGUST 12, 2008 SEE ONLINE REGISTRATION DETAILS BELOW
 “Stretch Out Your Hand: Exploring Intercessory Prayer for Individuals, the Church, and the World” is the theme for a prayer retreat on Tuesday, August 12, at Mensch Mill Conference & Retreat Center. Leader of the event will be the Rev. Wanda D. Craner, PSEC Minister of Spiritual Nurture. Rev. Craner writes, “Intercessory prayer is very much part of the overall prayer ministry of the faith community. We will experience a variety of ways to pray for others and to pray for healing in social settings. We will explore how “soaking prayer” can be effective for those dealing with life threatening illness; and we will experience “kything” as an avenue of praying for others. Special attention will be given to the importance of centering prayer as a preparation for intercessions. Truly, this will be a wonderful day of prayer, so why not bring a friend from your church or community!” Participants are asked to bring a Bible, a notebook or journal, and a bag lunch. The retreat will take place from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm and the cost will be $12. A morning snack and beverage will be provided.
