Martha Mensendiek is professor of social welfare at Doshisha University. Both Martha and her brother Jeffrey, who also serves in Japan, have family in the Philadelphia, Bethlehem, and Lancaster areas. Martha will be back in the US in the fall or winter of 2008-2009.

NEPAL
Bethsaba & Dale Nafziger serve in Nepal doing community health and development work. Dale visited several of our churches last spring and will likely be back in the US for a time of interpretation in spring 2008. |
PUERTO RICO
 Ali Nebot is program coordinator of human rights for the Evangelical Council of Puerto Rico. Although she was born in Puerto Rico, Ali now hails from the New York City area. We will share Ali with the New York Conference when she is scheduled to be on home leave in 2006 |

As a “mission interpreter” I work to communicate with local congregations, visit church mission / outreach / stewardship committees, identify congregations which might benefit from learning more about missions, expand the understanding of missions, serve as liaisons between Conference and National mission boards, and help to coordinate visits by mission personnel on home leave. I am eager to be a resource for your church—even to come and present a special program on missions. (A small honorarium is appreciated to help cover costs of transportation.)
