Mission Partnerships in Pennsylvania Southeast Conference provide opportunities for local churches to develop a Partnership to support special mission programs in the life of the Conference. The support may be financial and people.
Currently there are five programs that need Mission Partnership Support.
1. Reading - CUCMR
to support the Council for United Church Ministry in Reading
2. Philadelphia - Metro Ministries
to support special projects in local United Church of Christ
churches in Philadelphia
3. Locust Lake Ministry
a summer chaplaincy program reaching more than 3,000 campers
each summer. This Mission Partnership is supported by many
congregations in Schuylkill Association.
4. Christian Network Outreach Church, Norristown
this new church start needs people and financial support as this
special ministry grows. Several congregations are helping - more
would be welcomed.
5. Grace Trinity Church, Philadelphia
a new church start now in its third year. They are rapidly
moving to the point of self-support, but more assistance is needed.
Other possibilities
Community of Joy
Betel
Kensington
These have all received support in the past. While all of these supported congregations are in urban settings, the possibilities go beyond the cities. There are small, rural congregations that can be greatly assisted through this program.
